Break-ups are always difficult to deal with, especially when it’s with
someone you really loved. Man or woman, we all have our own ways of
dealing with break-ups, but because men are a bit emotionally
‘stronger’, we tend keep ourselves in check after a break-up. But
women; well, being who they are, appear to be the worst hit after a
break-up. There’s usually an obvious change in their attitude, and
although some try to hide it, you can tell they’re just not
themselves. They resort to different things as a way of dealing with a
bad break-up, and some of these things are very hilarious. I have put
8 of these things together to help you begin your week on a lighter

1. THEY DELETE HIS NUMBER
Well, this is always the first move, isn’t it? Lol. As soon as a guy
breaks a lady’s heart, the next thing she does is delete his number.
But the funny thing about this is It still doesn’t change anything
because women usually have the phone number of their ex stored up in
their brains. Ask them in five years, they’ll remember!
2. THEY BECOME RELATIONSHIP EXPERTS
I know most people can relate to this. We all know that one female who
has had a bad break up and next thing, she thinks she has a BSc in
dating. Relationships become her favourite topic, and suddenly, she
wants to give relationship advice at the slightest chance, even if
hers did not work. She knows how not to date a guy.
3. THEY BECOME ‘BORN AGAIN’…AGAIN!
For most women, the only place they find solace in after a bad
break-up is in religion. The ones who weren’t religious suddenly
develop affection for God (or probably yoga), in hope that he blesses
them with someone better. But as soon as they find love again, it’s
back to square one. Thank God he is merciful, eh?
4. THEY SUDDENLY BECOME ACTIVISTS
Ladies always have a sense of empowerment after a bad break-up. You
see things like, #TeamSingleAndLovingIt, #TeamSingleForever etc; even
though deep inside, they wish they were still together with their ex.
They suddenly have their little NGOs and become ‘allergic’ to men. If
you’re a guy, and you fall for them during this period, I pity you.
5. THEY PLAY MORE SLOW SONGS
They dig out Adele’s album or watch ‘A walk to remember’ and lay on
their beds all day, crying their eyeballs out after every scene. We
all know how depressing Adele’s ‘Someone like you’ is. Even when you
are in the best relationship, that song just has a way of making you
feel sad. Lol.
6. THEY TURN STALKERS
This is common among most ladies. After a bad break up, they start to
stalk their ex on all known social media; Instagram, Twitter,
Facebook…just name it. Some even go to the extent of dialling his
number a couple of times with a strange/hidden number…then when he
says hello, they hang up or just remain silent. I have caught a few
women doing this. I know some of you are guilty. Lol. Women are just
the best CIA agents!
7. THEY HANG OUT MORE
If you haven’t noticed this—when a girl is single, she rarely stays
home. Even if she wants to, her friends wouldn’t let her. They always
wanna go out and have that fun they would never have had with the ex.
And it’s always a plus when they know their ex would be at the same
event they’re going to. If he’s gonna be there, they’ll dress to kill,
just to make sure he realises what he is missing. Besides, ‘Mr.Right’
can be found anywhere.
8. ON TO THE NEXT ONE
Sometimes, they turn a ‘good girl gone bad’ if they can’t handle
themselves. Men she kept on hold while she was dating become her
‘besties’ and we all know the things that go along with that. Lol.
